What makes us different? K9 Korner Inc. is a totally different daycare setup than most other facilities. We do not offer large
group play of 20 or more dogs. We play in much smaller groups of 2-4 dogs at a time and
alternate our playgroups as the day goes on. This assures a much safer environment to play
and socialize.
We also offer one-on-one playtime with our staff at no additional cost. We take the time to
interact with the pups, we know what their favorite game is or their favorite toys are. We take
great pride in being different than other facilities for this and many other reasons. We know your
dog like we know our own, we love your dog like we love our own. We are an extension of your
family!
We do not allow any collars (of any kind) to be worn during playtime. We carefully remove
everyone's leash and collar upon arrival and put it in their cubby for the day until their family
arrives for pick up, at which time their leashes and collars will be put back on them so they can
be handed over to their owners. This allows a much safer way to play!
Our play area is primarily outside. This means fresh air for the pups all day! Now, this also
means that in the summer and winter, we have to take more breaks inside to keep them safe,
but we don't mind one bit. We make sure that all dogs are getting the daily exercise and activity
that is needed.
Daycare
We accept all breeds of dogs for doggie daycare. All dogs must be up to date on all vaccines (rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). All our dogs get VIP attention while they are with us for any of our services. Daycare dogs spend the majority of their day playing and socializing. We do take a break midday, as all dogs need a little time to rest and recharge for afternoon playtime. During this time, all dogs will get their own crate with a comfortable blanket to rest in.
We do offer two feeding times for our daycare dogs as well. If this fits into your schedule and you would like your dog to eat while they are here for daycare, we ask that you provide your own food.
Daycare is available 7 days a week/365 days a year. Our hours are 7-11 am and 3-6 pm Monday thru Saturday to drop off and pick up your dog. Sunday and holiday hours are 8-10 am
and 4-6pm. Daycare rates currently range from $24-$30 per day/per dog. No half-day rates.
Prices are determined by the size of your dog. We offer discounted rates if you want to do a
monthly daycare program. Daycare is perfect for so many families. If you work long hours and
don’t want to leave your dog at home all day by themselves, it’s perfect for puppies to learn
socialization with other puppies. If you want to treat your dog to a special day out of the house
or maybe you have to go out of town for the day, or have someone coming to your house to get
some work done.....send your dog to doggie daycare!
Our daycare stands apart from the rest by being one of the only facilities that do not allow
free/open play for all dogs. What this means is that your dog has their own play area that is just
theirs. They have toys, water, blankets, and everything that is needed for a perfect day. As dogs
arrive, many dogs will be paired up into small play groups of 2-4 dogs and playgroups will be
rotated throughout the day. There are some dogs who prefer the love and attention from our
staff instead of playing with the other dogs, and that is totally ok. These dogs can be outside,
having fun, and enjoying their day as much as those that are playing with their friends. We give
every dog in our care VIP attention and we know these dogs like we know our own dogs. We
don’t charge extra to play with your dog or spend time with your dog. Keeping the dogs happy
and safe in whatever way makes THEM happy is what our daycare is all about. Inside our
facility, every dog has a crate that is theirs for the day, so they have a place to rest, eat or just
take a break if needed. We also have smaller inside play spaces that are ideal for small group
play or a great spot for our seniors/delicate dogs to spend their day if they don’t like to be
outside. Our outside play area is covered so the dogs are protected from the weather.
Boarding
We also accept all breeds of dogs for boarding. If your dog is greater than 1 year of age, we do require a trial day PRIOR to boarding. This day would need to be scheduled ahead of time. Dogs that are here for boarding also get to spend the majority of their day playing and socializing. We require boarding dogs to be up to date on all of their vaccines as well (rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). All dogs get assigned their own crate for sleeping in overnight. This gives them their own den-like space to rest and feel safe. We provide soft and comfortable blankets as well so that your pup will have the comforts of home. You will not need to send any toys, blankets, beds, or bowls for your dog's vacation, we provide everything they will need to have a great stay with us. However, you will need to send your dog's own food. We have a refrigerator on site so if you need to send anything extra that requires refrigeration, we can gladly accommodate that.
We are a public boarding facility for dogs, cats, and other small animals. Any cats or other small
animals stay in our loft area away from the dogs where it is quieter and more relaxing for them
to enjoy their stay. Small animal/cat boarding is $22 per night. Dog boarding is $30-$38 per
night, the price is determined by the size of
the dog. The dogs boarding with us enjoy the same setup as our daycare dogs do. Each dog
has their own individual play area outside as well as a crate inside for sleeping/eating. Some
dogs will be paired up for group play while others that are not suited for this, will be entertained
and cared for by our amazing staff. We get to know your dog and see what they enjoy. Maybe
they like to play catch or are great "tug" players, or maybe they prefer snuggling in your lap. We
treat every dog as the individual that they are.
We provide all toys, blankets, bowls, and buckets
for dogs that are boarding with us. The families only need to send food for the length of their
stay. We also administer any/all necessary medications. We assure you that any dog with a
special or restricted diet will get the necessary food/supplements as directed. This is something
that is included in the boarding cost and is not something that is an additional fee.
Our facility is
monitored by security cameras to ensure peace of mind and the highest quality of care. We
welcome tours at any time as long as the dogs are not eating. (We don’t want to stress them by
walking people thru the building at those times). Tours do not need to be scheduled!
Grooming
We offer grooming services to all breeds of dogs. We offer basic baths, nails, ear cleaning/plucking, teeth cleaning, foot trims, and full grooms (this is a bath, ears, and nails - THIS IS NOT A HAIRCUT OR SHAVE).
Grooming appointments can be scheduled on a day by themselves or can be added onto a day of daycare or boarding. Please schedule in advance for all grooming services.
WE DO NOT OFFER ANY HAIRCUTS/SHAVES.
We offer baths, nails, ears, teeth, foot trims, and de-shedding as part of our services. These
services can be done individually or bundled together for a package/bundle price. We will be
doing shaves/haircuts in the near future as our groomer completes her certifications for these
services. Each "full groom" is a pre-bath brush out, double bath, hand blower, and de-shed
process, ears cleaned/plucked and nails dremeled. You can add getting your dog's teeth
brushed for a small additional fee if this is something you are interested in. We also offer these
services separately or bundled in smaller packages.
De-shed/brush out only. Nails/Ears, Ears/Teeth, bath only, etc.
We are now offering specialty shampoos/conditioners as an alternative for a small additional fee
as well. The choices include: medicated/itch relief shampoo, shed control shampoo/conditioner
(shampoo only or add the conditioner too). This line of products is all Paraben and dye free. We
also offer a tearless facial cleaner, which is perfect for dogs that are prone to tear staining.
Specialty shampoo is plus $10 in addition to standard grooming charges. Grooming can be
scheduled with daycare/boarding or can be booked as a separate service.
